Definitely not a top 10 but one where I remember laughing hypothetically was Carcillo's game 3 OT winner against Jersey.

I know all the older fans like poulin but there is just no way coots doesn’t make it into game 7 as at least the fourth line center with everything he brings. Poulin’s offensive numbers are nothing great for that era and I’m sure he’s not the defensive player couturier is

It appears that you don't know Poulin very well. He actually won the Selke trophy.

On NBC Sports Philadelphia's website, Joe Fordyce ranked his top 10 Flyers playoff goals in franchise history. It's a very good list, although there is room to debate the ranking order of some of the selections.

Yes, very good list - brought back a lot of memories. I'd put the MacLeish goal as 1 and Clarke's as 2 though.

I'd keep Renberg with LeClair and Lindros over Recchi. Recchi underperformed in the playoffs in his two stints, especially, his second stint against Toronto

I love the purpose driven idea of why you assemble your team.
I was torn about not including Rick MacLeish because he can play both wing and center and can play PK and PP. And then I looked at your lines again. I feel like it gets down to a coin toss for some of the decisions, beyond LCB and Lindros/Leclair.

Defense is a pretty tight set. The only toss up is Bob Daily, but that is only because I have more fresh memories of him being more broken down as apposed to when he was at his peak.

This is a great way to look at a team's history.

Thanks

I'd be happy with either player but the point is that you stated that you were sure he wasn't as good defensively as Couturier. Poulin was an elite defensive center and PKer.

I always like the Clarke interaction stories. Will always rank as my favorite Flyer.

Though his tenure as a Flyers was short, I have to put Pronger in on defense.

Not sure who i'd take out, but I think I'd have to include Mr. Playoffs Danny Briere in my game 7 lineup

James Neal was and is, a huge piece of crap!

My all time, win one game, Flyers roster:

Barber-Clarke-Leach
Leclair-Lindros-Kerr
Giroux-Couturier-Briere
Propp-Macleish-Poulin

Can’t have a must win game roster without the 2 greatest playoff performers in club history: Macleish & Briere

Howe-McCrimmon
Pronger-Dailey
Timonen-Desjardins

LeClair - Giroux - J. Carter

Briere - Brind’Amour - Handzus

Defense

Howe - McCrimmon

Pronger - Desjardins

Timonen - Provorov

PP1

Lindros - LeClair - Gagne - Carter - Timonen

PP2

Clarke - Giroux - Briere - Pronger - Desjardins

PK forwards

Giroux - Carter - Lindros - Brin’Amour - Handzus

All D could play PK so utilizing this many PK players could help keep the team fresh.

Regardless of his limited time here... you simply cant have a must win GAME 7 roster that does not include Justin Williams. Period.

I don’t see how you leave off one of the best PP goal scorers for a “SOLID” overall player in Jeff Carter.

Gotta have Kerr in there, and as much as I like Handzus he’s not worth it either.
